Michael & Rachelle- engagement!

What can i say?! Rachelle has been my best friend since high school and i was so happy to be able to photograph some engagement shots for her! what i absolutely love and you might all know is that photographing close friends can be so much fun, only because if it's your bestie, you can basically have them do whatever you want. They can be more adventurous, a tad dangerous and it's all good. 

we went by the stone arch bridge but this time we went up some of the hills that literally made us fall, and since there were dresses involved.. well that's always an interesting time. But Rachelle is such a trooper and trusts me so when i ask her to do something not necessarily fun to get to, she does it! and with excitement. so some of my favorite photos right now are from this session, thanks for being willing to fall up and down a steep hill to get these shots :) and michael.. for holding all our stuff while we did it!

you might have seen a few on these on facebook already and if you haven't, you should probably head over and become a fan. but i wanted to add in some of the crazy ones too although we ended with lots of kissy close ones. there were even a few i haven't posted yet of michael just busting out laughing. if you want to see more i'll be posting them on facebook soon too! 

we got such a good variety of kissy huggy and crazy ones, like i said i'll post more of those over on fb so check it out! Rachelle told me that she's never been able to be herself as much as she is with michael so i had to keep all the silly ones too. :) 

They're getting married next year and... i get to be IN it! ahh! :) it's going to be hard relaxing and not snapping a thousand photos, well maybe i'll catch a few ;) 

Rachelle i'm so thankful to have you in my life, through all the ups and downs when i need encouragement or need to hear the hard truth you've been someone who has provided me with exactly what i need to hear. A friend who always listens, loves, and recently picks me up from the air port and drives me around. you are such an amazing friend and i'm so happy we met that day at the pool in middle school. Let's face it, sometimes we wish we could go back and swim everyday, i guess lazy tan days on the boat are just as fun.. especially our first time driving. we have the best most silly fun adventures ever. i love you. 

Alyse & Brady- engagement!

These two have been together for 6 years. incredible! :) and i loved being able to photograph them. One of my favorite part of engagement shoots is to see how couples interact and i always love what their guys have to say.  Brady although didn't seem terribly excited for a morning of photos i think he liked the idea of kissing on his beautiful girl even more that day ;) 

I've known Alyse since before Kindergarten, we were probably about five! And i've grown up with her, from sports to band she's been in my life for quite some time! So when she asked me to shoot her wedding i was really excited, it means so much to be able to photograph friends and see the next part of their journey, so thank you Alyse and Brady and congratulations!

check out the close up, your eyes are GORGEOUS there! i had a fun adventure with these two, Alyse knew of a beautiful spot and so we drove through crazy bumps in a field and walked through long wet grass and i have to say.. i love those mornings when shooting! Always something fun when you find new places!

Luke, Nicole and Ayden boy!

The Horsmans 

I can't believe how big Ayden is getting! make it stop ;) i've known the lovely Nicole since we were just little kiddos! and had the chance of even photographing her wedding this past september, and it was gorgeous! click here to see those photos! 

Nicole always looks cute, but she was expecting just photos of Ayden so she was a good sport when i asked her to be in some! good thing you always are adorable! 

I had so much fun with this family, Luke throwing Ayden, swinging, and a quick game of duck duck gray duck. he did so good and had the biggest smile for mom when he got to curl his fingers and show double joints! what a sweet heart. thank you guys for dairy queen too.. was the best way to cool off and reward good smiles! 

He is a quick little guy so i had to keep that camera up while he was chasing his parents. i really can't believe how big he's getting! can't wait to see you all again! 

oh and i really love the black and white when he was resting on the bench. he posed that on his own! little handsome model! which is your favorite?!

Caitlyn & Marc wedding- sneak peek!

i had the chance to meet this couple just this past may! we did a fun engagement session on a super hot day, and their wedding day was no different :) if you missed the engagement photos, click here!

There is so much to say about wonderful couple and something i learned almost immediately after we met was that 29 was a very special number to them. From days they met, to when they got engaged, and even getting married AT 6:29 pm. so cute! so while i was walking around looking for some fun secret photos i ran into the pool table and decided to show off her shoes (that were a surprise to marc!) and their wedding date. 

she couldn't have picked a more beautiful place to get married. i'm still in love with the house and realized while putting this sneak peek together i had to get rid of some of the house and include other places! ha 

there were so many amazing details and the family and friends were so welcoming. i felt like part of the family before i left and couldn't help but stay and chat too!

i was so happy to feel a part of their family for the day, thank you so much for letting me photograph your beautiful wedding! seriously. loved the chucks. my recommendation for all couples :)

Peterson family- memorial hill

I always love seeing this family! the girls are growing so fast and are so beautiful! And laura i don't know how you manage it but you get more gorgeous every day! i went to high school with josh and laura so catching up is always so fun. 

They came prepared with the cutest pink chair, bubbles, and even a kite! so the girls stayed happy and i honestly can't believe it. i've never seen a baby look directly at the camera for the first shot without me making a crazy noise. i held up the camera and she looked at me. yup your family was wonderful!
