Rumor Hotel in Las vegas- boudoir sneak peek

just a sneak peek of our fabulous boudoir session together at the Rumor Hotel which i'll absolutely be using again as the go-to place!- lovely little boutique hotel right off the las vegas strip. 

This gorgeous woman's photos are going to be featured at her mom's event next month and needed to have something new and fun! She got her hair and makeup done by Bianey Martinez and it turned out perfectly! so here's a sneak peek and i promise there will be more soon! 

boudoir photography is quickly becoming some of my favorite shoots! you can make them as sexy or conservative as you'd like and is always a great idea for the man in your life, just for you and believe it or not.. to boost your self-esteem! with the right photographer they'll boss you around ;) and pose you to feel more comfortable and show you off ! even posing myself and not always seeing exactly what i was getting, i was so excited to show Brandon! Plus who doesn't love getting their hair and makeup done and feeling gorgeous!?

Hey all! i just wanted to share one of the images from this weekend. i got my hair and makeup done by Sona and Karen from Makeup In the 702 and they were fabulous! i can't say enough how wonderful of an experience it was, even though i was the one taking my own photos! :) i think it's something every woman should do and think getting my hair and makeup done made all the difference!  

When i'm done editing all the images, ladies i'll be making a private gallery if you'd like to see them. It would be a good way to see if you're interested in some boudoir photos too!

Covered Bridge

family time.

Todd my cousin and his wonderful girlfriend Kelly decided they needed some photos for Christmas, and i'm so glad they did! When i visited Minnesota This past October, i had the chance to hang out with more family. It's one of my favorite reasons for being a photographer. It helps us all get together for a while and plan family time. It just so happened the day we got together was also Todd's birthday! 

It was a pretty cold day shooting at the covered bridge in zumbrota, but they did so good! here's a few from our time together, and yes i had to include a few silly ones! 

i can't believe how big Hailee and Carson are getting! they were so fun! Carson loved to pose for me :) 

i love this photo below. if you know this family, you know teasing and having fun is a big must! so here's just the silliness coming out. 

wow i really love shooting in minnesota. This area is so beautiful full of trees and color in the fall. i'll be going back this summer a LOT so if you're thinking about some family photos, just let me know! we'll plan a time.

Todd and Kelly- thank you so much for letting me photograph you all. you were so fun and cute! the outfits you picked were perfect! i was so happy to be able to spend some time and see your home :) miss you and hopefully see you this summer!

If you know me, you know i'm not great at the makeup thing. For one, i'm too cheap to buy expensive stuff. i did get sucked into one commercial i saw about BB cream. i tried Maybelline, and really love it! aside from it not being heavy on your face, not clogging pores, and having a a uv-protection, it almost provides a natural "photoshopped" look. yes, that's how i explain it being a photographer. it brightens, and hides blemishes. i'm in love. if you have a brand you like or have tried it, i'd love to hear what you think!

next is for photographers. I've been meaning to finally purchase some Alien-bees B800 lights. especially with the indoor boudoir shoot coming up! (most of the lights are use are the flashes i have) i wanted to try them first, and it's wonderful having amazing photographer friends. Danette has two i got to borrow, and i put them to the test yesterday. they worked amazingly! so, those are on my purchase list. what's the best part? they even go off with my pocket wizards! 

want a random girly app? i downloaded the O.P.I  app a while ago and i have to admit, i love it. basically you make a hand that looks about the color of your own and you can see all the colors available (or most at least) and how it would like on you. yes, it's pointless. but i use it. i have a have a few favorites saved when i go out looking for something new and cute! although, i admit.. most of the favorites are pink my new fave is my Chihuahua bites! (although murphy doesn't bite.. usually.) 

 

 need another blog to stalk? i found one recently thanks to instagram. yes, i use social networking to find fun places for inspiration! Carlinn writes about all things beautiful; little details, fashion, decor, ideas for your home and more!- if nothing else, she has bright beautiful photos that cover her blog and show you all her ideas! click on the image below to bring you right to her site! 

the last favorite thing is a two-in one! i stumbled upon this wesbite called themanregistry.com it's not only good for grooms who aren't helping much and need a few quick tips or gifts for groomsmen, it can be for the man who wants to help and is interested in all things wedding! I found this one article on the blog called "treat your bride, Bridal boudoir photography." i recently started shooting boudoir and already see what a wonderful gift it could be from the bride, especially cause you're working so hard looking beautiful for your big day.. you have to capture that! click on the photo below to go right to the article or the website above to see the whole site! so check it out!

Wedding at the Luxor hotel

This lovely couple traveled from D.C for a Las Vegas wedding in November! the ceremony was at the Chapel at Luxor and after Daryl and Whitney wanted just a few photos of their family and the two of them. We caught the gorgeous light just in time before it got chilly, and they did great! Their family was so welcoming and had so much fun.. especially the guys, tons of poses!
