trash the dress- on the farm

First sneak peek from my June trip to Minnesota! 

Getting back from a long vacation/work time in Minnesota, and it was absolutely wonderful (aside from a few hiccups which i'll be sharing) so now that i'm back here comes all the blog posts again! 

This post can actually be split into three, so i'm just going to make you all wait! Tara and Tracy wanted some trash the dress with each other, plus some portraits with their men! so here's just a few of the two of them! 

it was raining all day, so we quickly changed our plans, and honestly, it worked out better than our original plan! i was so excited to be able to shoot with these amazing cars! and these girls. gorgeous.

sweet Audrina- baby photos!

You've seen Kenna's maternity check it out here, and now Audrina's sneak peek so finally here are more of this beautiful baby girl!

It was so much fun to have some time to talk with Jordan and Kenna, and about their new beautiful baby girl! i have to admit the funniest thing happened right at the end, Jordan thought for sure Audrina would go to the bathroom on him if we did Audrina all nakey! and sure enough.. she did. right after that last shot. i wasn't going to share this BUT i saw he wrote it on facebook, i figured it was a go then. :)

something i noticed even more during this session was how Jordan looks at Kenna. During the maternity photos he looked at her so sweet, i loved it! but this was such a proud loving look. it was perfect.

Thank you two for letting me meet and photograph Audrina! she's gorgeous. and there will be more coming up! Jordan has some good ideas! shhh...

exactly where i am.

Yesterday i received such a beautiful, humbling email from someone who was in such a similar situation as me, it's crazy that she found me! She knows God is calling her to do something more, to have her own business and she feels her spirit is breaking in the current situation. couldn't have hit closer to home. 

i'm sharing this because it once again confirmed that i'm doing what God has called me to do. Before i quit my job at the chapel, i wanted to make sure it's what God was really leading me to do, and not just what i thought was right. i had days where i thought it was in the plans, and days where i wasn't sure i would succeed. I still have those days, but on days where i doubted, God would confirm it for me. I'd get a letter from someone who loved their photos, i'd get a photo session, something that let me know it was going to be okay, and it's what i needed to do. 

Now what i have realized where i am, is exactly where i should be. Even if it doesn't turn out exactly how i imagine, i know God is using this time to prepare me for what He wants for me. It's a scary place being on my own not knowing exactly what's going to happen. I think God is using that to depend on Him more and less on me. 

I'm so thankful to have a supportive husband that i'm able to start my dream business and understands it's been on my heart to do this for a while. 

interestingly enough my devotional for today contained this verse.  " The Lord our God said to us in Horeb, you have dwelt long enough on this mountain... Behold, i have set the land before you; go in and take possession of the land which the Lord swore to your fathers." Deut. 1:6 --- for me today, this passage is saying to go ahead with the plans, because i did dwell on them, i did pray about it.  i thought it was just a perfect verse today! 

So where do you want to be? Where do you feel God is guiding you? And are you ready to take that leap and come from the mountain and take possession what the Lord has set in front of you? 

p.s. they might hate me but i get to see my lovely friends more now. goofiness and all. one of the many blessings. 

Las Vegas wedding at the veil, sneak peek!

There were so many gorgeous things about this wedding that i absolutely loved. The whole wedding was planned by The Pin Up Bride, and i again got to second shoot for Ralph James. i'm so thankful to be able to work with him and all of the other fantastic vendors! 

The decor of the entire wedding was something i was definitely jealous over! :) perfect. Deborah did such a great job, and the bride and grooms' girls just wanted to be close to them the entire time! 

Another amazing thing about this wedding was the band. Ankh came to play, an 80's tribute band that.. let's be honest i couldn't stop dancing too. i'm afraid i might have ended up on video. it's all good. You'll be hearing more about Ankh soon, can't wait to show you even more of the wedding! 

Oh and a little sidenote, here's one of the photos we took at the end of the night. we MIGHT have had a blast at this wedding!
