Dennis and Danielle- wedding!

Mr. and Mrs. Diercks!- Yesterday marks their one month together as husband and wife, and i wanted to share every photo while editing... realizing.. sigh.. i guess i won't do that. In the sneak peek of their wedding i got to share how everyone was just perfect to the couple that day, so many people willing and wanting to help and all of the DIY projects Danielle had made and all the details she thought of! 

So for this post, i wanted to share a few moments too. you can see the joy on her face with her friends, and the emotion running through close friends and family. it was a beautiful wedding and day. The thing that still encourages me most about these two is that Danielle is now even more excited to be his wife now that the big day is over. 

When i think about Danielle and who she is, i think of strength. Another blurb from my favorite book Captivating.... "There is something fierce in the heart of a woman... she is a warrior too in a uniquely feminine way." Danielle even on her wedding day had such strength, a good heart but she is one of the most beautiful women i know and i think it only slightly captures who she is. 

Dennis and Danielle i know you'll have a wonderful marriage. Not only can you communicate exactly what needs to be said, but you have family and friends who will help you through. And even from here, i'll be praying for that great marriage!

One of my favorite families of all time.

I went to school with Michelle almost my entire life! Since we were about 5 years old. She's one of those amazing friends that even though we live so far a part and we both are too busy to talk often, when i visit it's like our friendship picks up exactly where we left off. I had the chance to spend some time with her incredible family after photos too.. which i should upload. Little Levi had a dance party for us. it was awesome!

You look even more beautiful than you know Michelle.. and yes.. you too Jeff. Even when i constantly bother you guys to dance with me at every wedding! When i opened these photos and started editing, all i saw was love. You guys having real laughs, smiles and hugs. It takes me back when i got to take your engagement photos when i had time with just you two (plus levi now!) and feel so encouraged by you both.  

 

I'm so glad i was able to spend some time photographing and then talking with you! I love seeing your home and the life you've built together. i sound so.. mushy. but i love you guys.

Jeff you're a good sport.. i know how much you love when i take way too many photos. I can't wait to meet your little one! kiss on Levi's cute cheeks some more!

Dennis & Danielle- wedding sneak peek!

Dennis and Danielle were high school sweet hearts which i honestly always admire. I had the opportunity of taking their engagement photos last September, which you can see again if you click here! 

There are so many amazing things to say about this wonderful wedding day. Danielle definitely thought of every detail including writing a personal message on all the bridesmaids' shoes, surprising Dennis by seeing him before the wedding, and having enough time to stop at gorgeous places for more photos on the way to the reception.

I went to high school with these two, and Danielle is truly beautiful inside and out. Even from Vegas, i can see her faith growing in such amazing ways! (and because of that, it inspired me to include another small gift to send with her photos.. you'll have to wait and see what it is.)

Her dress looked flawless, her shoes were sparkly and cute, and her friends and family around were so great! I love to see when people will do anything to help out the couple, and i felt completely at home too!  

Congratulations! I'm so thankful to have been part of your big day! 

 what i thought was so special.. i got to talk to danielle again when i went back to Minnesota, and she said how much she loved the wedding, but what she loved most... was now being his wife; living life together. 

Five Things- fun, sun, love.

Wow i haven't written a personal post in a while, so if you like reading them, leave me some love so i know not to rid of these!

Last time i was in Minnesota i didn't get a lot of time to post, but i'm sitting here and decided i have a little time to share some fun things with you!

i haven't shared a video in a while, and this recently was sent to me to an amazing college friend of mine shelly. and i mean.. how can i NOT share this? embrace it, it's wonderful.

Last time i visited this wonderful state, i had some time to head to a few thrift shops, Unique Thrift being my favorite right now. I ended up picking up 3 new books, and some repeats to pass out. i finished them and really thought they were fantastic! i might have gone overboard today and bought five more. whoops. I found two more by the author i really enjoyed so i'm hoping for some more good finds! (umm and all for 9 dollars? yes please.) I really loved the writing style of Emily Giffin so i'm going to be buying more of her books! The first recommendation is called "Love the One You're With." i actually have a terrible habit of judging a book by it's cover first and then yes i do read what it's about. this was sitting on Rachelle's shelf and i had to pick it up. it was a perfect pool time read so i don't get too bored... in fact be careful. i got terribly burned after three hours of reading + tanning. It's actually a sad story line, but you get sucked into the characters! loved. if you've read it let me know what you think

Maybe before you relax by the pool, you should start up a sweat. i found a new pair of yoga shorts that I have to say, i'm obsessed with. if you want to feel cute while working out (be aware i do this is in comfort of my own home) so while lifting i can stare in the mirror and i don't look crazy... well.. to other people. comfortable and good fit, and i think i work out way longer if i feel good about myself! so check out the shortie from Victoria's Secret. however mine are pink and the script is different. And it's late, and today they're my pajamas and yes i'm wearing them as i write this post. try 'em on!

  I don't know about you guys, but i go on kicks on what i like to snack on. Lately water just hasn't been enough for quenching my thirst so i found pink lemonade crystal light for pitchers. This saves me having to mix every time and also gets me tons of water, with little calories. YUM.

 I thought i'd look through my "run" and "workout" playlist and give a few suggestions to add to yours!

The last two might be cliche, but they pump me up. Also if you've been around me at all, you'll know i get stuck on songs over and again until i can't handle them. Which is usually weeks. It's been known to annoy people. BUT i workout better when i find songs like that.

Jeff & Alyssa

I met this gorgeous couple at a wedding here in Minnesota, and since we all went to Northwestern we ended up chatting a ton! Alyssa decided it was time again that her and Jeff had some photos taken so i met them at their beautiful home, took a few there then headed over by the stone arch bridge for more. 

This is just a sneak peek of the fabulous time we had! And shooting in their house makes me want to photograph more couples in their place!
