black diamonds.

After i posted about personalized rings, i remembered i saw a black diamond at the chapel not long ago. usually i wouldn't like it, but it was a GORGEOUS ring that belonged to this beautiful woman with such poise, it made me think about it first. The groom chimed in and said at first, he really didn't want it for her, he thought people would think it was too different, but after he saw it on her, it was perfect. i really did agree. so what to do YOU think of other colored diamonds for a engagement ring? Here are a few i found that i kind of enjoyed!

i see quite a few black rings for guys, and i really like them! If you have a ring that's different, i wanna see it! send it on over, and let me know what you think of these!

products

whoo hoo!- finally got in another fun product. I've been testing out the company i use, and slowly ordering some stuff so i can tell you all about it!
I recently ordered an image box! it's beautiful! And i get to keep it! if you're interested in purchasing these, there are all sorts of sizes. I picked the smallest, one that holds 100 4x6s. some can hold a couple hundred and also a photo cd.
It's completely customizable. i chose to go with something a little more simple, to show off the photo, but if you want more design, it's easy to do in Photoshop. You can ask your photographer to make one for you!

The second product i've had for a while, well ordered a while ago. It's no longer mine, i gave it to the bride! But It's a cd holder, you can get more of a dvd case if you'd like and one that can also hold two cds, if you purchase two cds of copyrights, and it's a magnetic hold. I really love this, and thinking of ordering myself one! Another easy, but gorgeous detail!
I recently had a family member tell me they wanted an album made, so look out for an album this summer! i'm excited to show those!

five things.

What to do with your flowers when the big day is done?
I've been researching this and found a lot of good ideas. Looking back, i would've loved to have tons of real flowers at my reception. i went the cost effective way, and purchased some fake ones from Afloral. Don't get me wrong, it was a good route to go, and i still get to display them! But real flowers are just so beautiful.
The first idea I found was to give the centerpieces to guests as wedding favors. Mithi at Planet Mithi bought a stack of florists' cellophane flowers bags and printed out a nice "thank you" note. Having a family member or friend put them together near the end of the night, guests can go home with them!
I wanted to find some other options, and a lot of brides give all their flowers to nursing homes after the big day.
If you're having a day after brunch you could decorate with the flowers, and even after that, give them to family!
The last most popular response was to taking them to familys' grave sites.
If you're thinking of having a smaller wedding, there a lots of cute ideas for extras for your guests. We talked about candy tables, so now a beverage bar! i've been reading how if you're thinking of having something a little more complicated like floats, it's better to leave that to professionals to help, but sodas, martini bars, tea, or lemonade. I always loved the idea of having cute soda bottles, tons of color!
i mean how CUTE are these?
Told you all about personalized cufflinks, and i found another! to put your fingerprints on them. i wasn't sure how i felt about these personalizations, but asked Brandon how he felt about them, if he'd wear them, he okayed it, so here they are!
another way is to get your fingerprint inside the rings! It's discrete but still a special touch.
I talked about Bolthouse strawberry parfait drinks here.. BUT Brandon and i are back on the bolthouse kick. every summer they go on sale, buy one get one free. and personally i start to crave more fruits when it gets warmer, since i'm working and it's tough to always bring enough, i drink Bolthouse for a meal and it's delicious, energizing, and easy to get fruits on the go.
We started talking about getting a juicer and doing it all ourselves, we're still figuring out the numbers, so for now we're doing it this way. and YUM.
my favorite right now is the blue goodness....  we might have purchased 20 bottles this week.. no big deal.
The vanilla chai tea also curbs any cravings for starbucks! (yummy soy protein)
my last five things i love is pretty ridiculous. i met someone famous at work. and i am feeling pretty dang cool about it. David Faustino.
ha!
so what are you going to do with your flowers, and what is your opinion on the fingersprints!?
happy sunday everyone!

Boudoir

Are you up for the challenge?

Have you thought about doing a Boudoir shoot for your husband? Maybe your soon to be husband!? It might be a fun gift to give him after the two of you are married.

The first thing women think of when Boudoir is brought up is uncomfortable, trashy, too sexy, or maybe even they couldn't pull it off. While searching around some of my favorite blogs and photographers, i find there are all types of shoots. romantic, sexy, fine art, or simply beautiful.

I wanted to give all of you women the opportunity to think about doing this kind of shoot.

If you're looking for some ideas, maybe you want a boudoir session but aren't sure, check out the Boudoir Divas. I had the pleasure of hearing them speak last year at WPPI, and they're amazing! On their website you can see the different types of boudoir that there is, and maybe you'll decide, you CAN do it! think of doing something extra "fun" for your husband... Christmas is only.. well who cares, he'll love these photos at any time.

I picked a few more modestly dressed shots to show you! All from Boudoir Divas. To learn more about these fabulous shoots from two ladies who only photograph Boudoir, click on the images below!

If you're interested in a fun photoshoot like these, let me know! we can get you looking smokin' hot! What's great about these is you can do them in the comfort of your own home. If you want something a little different, lots of these shoots are done in upscale hotels too to get that sexy vibe. If you have any questions about these shoots, let me know. To first ask can be scary, especially if you're unsure, but even if you aren't sure, we can discuss what would best fit you, and make you the most comfortable.

and i'm sure your husband will appreciate these too ;)
