Five Things.

In one of my past not too distant five things post, i mentioned some books i'm reading. on a journey to try to choose to read uplifting material for a while instead i've strayed away from those books and stuck to some other kinds. However, those are still fun books! i mentioned how i've been finding all my new reads at savers. i've been reading about five different books, about a chapter from each since most are small devotionals. I want to start my day out right, so that my work is starting every morning with a fresh and positive outlook! (i mean who doesn't their photographer editing their photos while they're happy?!) I've come across a few that have been just okay, and then this one. "Promises of Hope for Women."
what i like is, short but meaningful chapters that encourage me everyday. although i admit, i picked it up for the look of it.. judging its book by its cover.. whoops!
I realized i haven't shared a song i think is nothing less than beautiful. It's one that i can repeat over and over and whether i'm in a happy or sad place, it'll get emotions flowing. Hit play and listen while you're reading through the rest of the post.. PERFECT.
A product i have been looking for, finally found! i spend most of days that i have less stuff to edit doing research. Whether it be to better my business plans, better my editing, or finding new products and places to find inspiration, i came across the frames i was looking for! I had some available similar to this for a while, but only came in baby colors. and now TONS of colors. 50-some! The Organic Bloom has some beautiful products, and if you're wanting one (or a few!) let me know! they're now available.
(polkadot umbrella photography!)
Another fun product i've been looking for is a folded Luxe card for Christmas cards, birth announcements, and engagements too! or even a flat card!
ask me about this new product, the folded card starts at $60 for 30 cards, with envelopes and including the design too. love these!
Or if you want the flat luxe cards, you can do these starting at $52 for 30, double sided, including envelopes too.
i adore these products, making a card (Christmas is right around the corner..) a little more fun!

I'd love to hear from you and maybe some products you'd like to see. Comment below and share some fun things you've seen other places.
I'd also love to hear how you stay encouraged every morning before work, i'm guessing lots of coffee is sometimes involved :) Do you find times to read before you start your day? Another might be working out.. i do this mid day.. there's no way results would happen for me in the morning.
I hope you're having a wonderful day, it's the weekend!

Jillian Michaels body revolution- here i go!

I admit, i start working out, am motivated for a couple days maybe a week, then something happens and i just can't get myself to stay working out as consistent as i should be!
my husband got the Jillian Michaels Body Revolution DVD's and suggested i try them. I'm on week two (it's a 6 day a week workout routine) and i'm still motivated! at only 30 minutes a day, i feel like i have more than enough time to focus on my workout. Anytime i'm working out, it also motivates me to eat better! so here i go, the journey i feel i finally have some control over.
I started with Insanity, and i really loved that too.. cause it KICKS your butt. I feel this 90 day program from Jillian Michaels will get me to a point to where i could do Insanity again or move on to more of her DVD's.
why not the gym?- my gym is about 20 some minutes away. to get the motivation to go was the toughest! we put in a weight room with the spare tv and i have no excuses. especially working from home.. i don't tend to drive by it often.
So here's my goal. 12 lbs to lose, getting buff of course! and having eating right come more naturally. i'm not terribly concerened with losing all 12 lbs as long as i feel great!
are you struggling with staying consistent in your workout routine? find something you love, make sure it's easy to do or get to, and stay motivated!
need a little more? Laura, a friend of mine has a wonderful blog i love to read to stay motivated!
There are a ton of other blogs i follow but hers is a great place to start!
a few things that have helped me lately! purchasing those vitamin gummies for adults. yes i said it. it helps me remember to take them everyday! and having weights close. no excuses working from home, and having the weight room just calling my name only feet away.
What are some things that keep you motivated? maybe snacks you depend on? blogs you look to, and exercise routines that don't get old! i'd love to hear about your journey as i work through mine to get where i know i can get!
next i'll cover ways to use your phone to help you keep track of calorie intake, burning, and what foods you're eating!

Feel refreshed

Happy Sunday! i hope you're all having a wonderful relaxing day! This post is going to be a little different from most.. no new photo updates today, but look for a new one tomorrow! It's been laying heavy on my heart to share what's been going on here in the Magnuson home.

I recently picked up some new devotions to read daily, whether it was while lounging in the pool or curled up on the couch. I started these new ones to really draw closer to God, and in my business obey Him. After only a few days, i felt i needed to be spending more time reading the Bible and getting a clearer understanding of what's in store for me, and Davista Photography.

One reason i started a business in the first place was to bless others. Whether it was as simple as showing love, and making them feel better about themselves, or starting a friendship which i could be there in a time of need.

Brandon and i watched church online today (he sleeps during the day on this shift! bummer.) Pastor Jud talked about how "God wants to bless you to bless others." It immediately spoke to me, i knew it was something i was meant to hear. After, i spent some time with my new devotions, i came across this verse... " A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed." - Proverbs 11:25.

My purpose for this post is to reach out to all my friends, family and even people i haven't met! my purpose isn't  solely to be your photographer. I want you to know you have someone that cares about you. So, if you have a need, a prayer request, or something you just need to talk through, i'm here. you can send me an email if you'd like, even if it's a question about the books i'm reading! I'd love to get together for a coffee date, hear good things going on in your life, encourage you with your photography or really just shut up and listen :)

Devotions i found that i'm recently reading (at savers!)

i hope to hear from you and will be praying for a wonderful week!

Floyd Lamb Park- Family photos

It's true.. this cutie got quite a few pictures taken this day! :) Just a sneak peek of some family photos. I was working with Ralph James, under Pin Up Bride Photography, mostly just helping out, but i couldn't help but snap a few here and there! So here's a few of my favorites!
