Christmas at Red Rock

Gorgeous friends and adventurous!

I met Angel through her husband and my husband being friends! they're such a wonderful couple, so wonderful we got some pizza hut afterward and relaxed. it was a great night!

Angel goes hiking a lot, and wanted to show off some of the beauty that Las Vegas has so we headed to Red Rock with their puppy Kona too! so here's a few shots we got walking around, getting dusty, and getting a light workout in!

it was the first time i got to photograph these two amazing people! i'm so glad we were able to make it work and quickly get in some Christmas cards.. which we finished yesterday.. shwhew!

best of both worlds! A personal project showing off my "kids" with photos. yippie! it was Murphy and Conner's birthday yesterday. technically, Murphy is 2 and we aren't sure of Conner's so we celebrate.. he's 3! 

honestly, i have NO idea how i got any shots alone. i was definitely sweating getting back far enough and close enough for treats and getting the shot. it was quite the shoot! the first shot is what i like to call "step brothers."- please get my reference.

Last year when Brandon could join puppies and me for a birthday adventure we went out to find treats and then a hike. Today, when i got home from my shoot, i took them out to a doggy store to find a special treat and an outfit... suckers. Although they don't seem to hate me, they are in fact laying right next to me so i think i'm still in the clear. 

those last few shots were quick! as soon as i brought in the special cookie, things got hectic! whew! but we did it. my dorky birthday photos of my boys! 

it's a tradition that i'm going to try every year. set aside some time to make sure and get photographs of them, and always, a special birthday adventure! 

i know there are TONS of photos of these two little pups, but it's not often i set up anything with the good camera (aside from Christmas photos!) as soon as i showed brandon, he laughed too. goal accomplished. so, do you all have any traditions for your pets? and share your favorite image from above! All things wedding trends for 2013!

 i've been doing some research for top wedding trends for 2013! i know so many fabulous couples getting married this next year one, including my best friend! 

this first find i actually purchased for Rachelle before my research. i wanted to give her a few gifts that would've meant a lot to me when i got married, things people put off and don't always find the "perfect" detail in. these garters are gorgeous, and you can find any color combination you'd like. i think they're so fabulous and secretly wanted to still buy some for me! click HERE to go right to etsy to check them out! 

which also leads to the first trend for next year.. MINT! Green is the It color for this next wedding season!

another element popping up for decor are birds and bird cages, many which are containing flowers as centerpieces. wildflowers are still going to be popular this year too!

with many brides opting for a beautiful outdoor ceremony, back drops are going to be something to consider! so cute, with lights, poms, or streamers like this photo below.  

Brides want to pop a little color into their gown too! i've posted before about fabulous bright colored shoes, but now a little colored crinoline underneath the dress is a good way to tie into your wedding colors and your bridesmaid dresses too!

 

the last thing to remember is.. do it the way you want! This is one of the loudest and quickly growing trend. Contemporary couples are setting their weddings without some of the traditions like white shoes, inside churches, lot of attendants etc. so have fun, and let the wedding show off who you and your fiance are as a couple! 

i wanted to share a few wedding trends that you'll be seeing! is there anything you're doing for your wedding to incorporate this year's trends? i have to admit, i love the color underneath the wedding gown always a little extra for your photographer!

Christmas at the park

i'm so blessed to have such photogenic beautiful friends! (who also let me try new fun stuff with them!) i met the gorgeous Tonya through our husbands, who work together and since then have lots of fun drinking egg nog, pool parties and mostly.. lots of talking!  

This year's family Christmas photo adventures weren't quite as crazy as last year, but i love how they turned out! Last year, we went up to mt. Charleston in pajamas and had a more relaxed feel. tons of fun, even the part where yes.. mike fell on the ice holding a couch. If you want to see last year's photos, click HERE. Although this year, we were ready with fake snow for the kids to throw, which made big smiles pop out!

i absolutely LOVE the last one. awww. sweet couples. how hard tonya is laughing and how mike looks at her. have i mentioned lately.... i love love. we found these sweet outfits together too, so i knew i was going to have to photograph those cute red shoes!
