Alyse & Brady- engagement!

These two have been together for 6 years. incredible! :) and i loved being able to photograph them. One of my favorite part of engagement shoots is to see how couples interact and i always love what their guys have to say.  Brady although didn't seem terribly excited for a morning of photos i think he liked the idea of kissing on his beautiful girl even more that day ;) 

I've known Alyse since before Kindergarten, we were probably about five! And i've grown up with her, from sports to band she's been in my life for quite some time! So when she asked me to shoot her wedding i was really excited, it means so much to be able to photograph friends and see the next part of their journey, so thank you Alyse and Brady and congratulations!

check out the close up, your eyes are GORGEOUS there! i had a fun adventure with these two, Alyse knew of a beautiful spot and so we drove through crazy bumps in a field and walked through long wet grass and i have to say.. i love those mornings when shooting! Always something fun when you find new places!

Engagement photos on a beautiful trail

These two are absolutely amazing together. I've known Andy for quite a while now considering he's my best friend's brother! and i had the joy of meeting his gorgeous fiance just last month. I can't express how much fun i had photographing them, the whole day was full of mostly us girls talking and figuring out all the people we know in common. Kirsten and Andy had the idea to go down to this beautiful lake and trail area and it was a perfect location!

 

I love when couples think of a location that is special to them, but then to be this beautiful! 

We actually started our session at como zoo but i was so in love with this site that i'm sorry.. you'll just have to wait til the full post to see the rest! Thank you Andy and Kirsten, i loved my time with you two!

Caitlyn & Marc- engaged! sneak peek

 i am just so excited to share these engagement photos of Caitlyn and Marc. what a perfect day we had, no rain, and completely gorgeous out.. well.. maybe a little warm but we had fun! so here's just a few of my MANY favorites. and stay tuned for way too many more! :)

sunrise engagement!

September in MN part 2

i was so blessed to go back home and photograph a couple i went to high school with. The idea Danielle had was to visit Dennis' family farm, since it was place that meant something to them. we later skipped around the town and visited some other places, but started here. i am PROUD. first of all, Dennis was a trooper, putting up with photos for a few hours! but i'm so glad we did, some of my favorite photos of the year came out of this shoot! Let's be honest, the second reason i'm proud is because we start so early in the morning! the sun was absolutely perfect, but living in Las Vegas i totally forgot about dew and it being cold in the morning. my feet froze ha! but we had a lot of fun. 

Loved to be able to be around this couple for a while! something i really like about the two of them, is they are high school sweethearts besides! so cute, and melts my heart everytime. 

yeah!! you might recognize this image from the top! and i have to say, it's still one of my favorite images. it's always interesting having couples do some lifts. it requires a lot of trust on their part to trust their photographer for this. they did this perfectly. Danielle is absolutely gorgeous and is perfect and posing and being so natural in front of the camera. LOVE photographing her. now i just have to get back to MN a whole bunch more and get her to do MORE photos! 

the image below is another of my favorites! the green all around, surrounding the red barn. i was so in love with this area, and so thankful i got to go back home and photograph places where i grew up! BEAUTIFUL. still wish i wouldn't have worn flip flops this early in the morning. but it was just an amazing morning!  

Dennis- i have got to say, for not loving being in front of the camera he did it well! i've had some couples do this kiss, and he looks so romantic. so good job! 
we ended up in Red Wing, but we were taking so many photos already! we even visited the church that they're getting married at! gorgeous. 

Engagements are probably my absolute favorite to photograph. Of course weddings are always so fun! but during the engagement photos, you get to know and see the dynamic of the couple, spend some time with them, and really see love between the two. sigh... it makes me love love even more every time! so thank you Dennis and Danielle for letting me photograph the two of you! 

so thinking of engagement photos soon? don't hesitate to ask any questions you have, from what to wear to the time of day to shoot.  and enjoy the time you get with your fiance! it should be a fun and great experience, even if you or your fiance aren't completely into photos! fall in love all over again. ahhh engagements. absolutely so beautiful

Family farm engagement session

first wow! it's been a little while since i posted anything, work and Christmas kind of took over my life for a little while! and since work has been so busy, i really haven't done many shoots outside of it. so i figured i'd do a tiny throw back. 

this past september i went back home to Minnesota! awww i'm still in love. and got to do some amazing shoots! so i thought i'd share them here. 

This engagement shoot is for Paige and Aaron, a beautiful couple i met while in college. (Paige was on our intermural  volleyball team which we kicked butt. sometimes. or goofed off and then danced about it in the parking lot, same thing.) 

After spending some more time with the two of them, i realize i wish i would've spent even MORE time with them during school. as a couple you can just feel the love they have for eachother, friendship and respect. I actually brought a friend to the shoot, and he and i sometimes would just watch them after i set them up and talk about how wonderful they were. inbetween shooting of course!

did i mention how absolutely in love i am with the fact they wanted some shots on her family farm? i recently submitted some of these images when asked where is a great place for engagement shoots. honestly, a place that has meaning to you is a place i say we take photos! i must admit though, not being around anything green here in las vegas made me love shooting here even more! 

we could not have asked for a better day for these photos! and what adventures we had. let's not forget i stepped on a wire fence and starting bleeding. hmm.. but it was worth it! thank you to jordan who helped me! and Paige and Aaron, amazing!!
